About the Canadian Citizenship Test
The Canadian citizenship test is a test of 20 questions based on the official study guide, Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship. You need 15 correct answers — 75% — within 30 minutes to pass. Questions are drawn from across the guide, covering the rights and responsibilities of citizenship, Canada's peoples and history, how the country is governed, and its symbols and regions. The test is taken online or in person after IRCC reviews your application.
